This year, we wanted to receive back the products shown in Milan as quickly as possible so we could display them in our showroom. But, once again, this did not happen. Some items were sold and the others were displayed elsewhere. But by now most of the products have been returned or remade. The entire showroom has been turned upside-down and the presentation of not only the newest products, but also the existing collection, is better than ever before. Hopefully this will be the last time we have products on display at our current location. Next time, provided the latest bureaucratic issues can be ironed out, this will hopefully take place at our new location.
The new building, an old Philips ceramics factory, will not only house our current activities, but also be impacted by all kinds of new plans. The goal is to relocate as quickly as possible. Before that can happen, however, a tremendous amount of work needs to be done. The factory is not only large, but old and neglected. But we plan to move in quickly all the same. This is possible in part because the building is much larger than our current one. Even the completion of a relatively small section will mean a considerable improvement compared to our current situation. The temporary showroom there is much larger and more attractive than the present one. Once we have moved into the building, we can finish the rest. Hopefully all our ultimate plans and strategy can be experienced by the fall of 2010, when we plan to open our doors for business.
The final presentation in the old building brings together 15 years of hard work and development. This is not only apparent from the collection on display, but also from the workshop and warehouse. We are bursting at the seams – which actually makes for a pleasant sight!
