Piet Hein Eek is a Dutch designer, internationally known for his furniture and objects made from scrap wood. In 1990, he graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven with his now-iconic scrap wood cabinet. His work is characterized by sustainability, craftsmanship, and a distinctive aesthetic.
Our building is located in the former ceramic workshop of Philips. Here, factory, shop, showroom, hotel, and restaurant come together under one roof. The building also serves as a meeting place, regularly hosting exhibitions, dinners, and events.
Our design hotel offers 13 unique rooms and a studio, each furnished by Piet Hein Eek. Every room features art by a different artist, making each one truly one-of-a-kind. The hotel is located in the same building on Beeldbuisring, right next to our factory and restaurants.
We have several restaurants, each with its own atmosphere and signature style. The Green Restaurant is located in the lobby of our hotel, while the Grand Café is situated opposite our main entrance. Both restaurants use local and seasonal products wherever possible.
In Mavaleix, France, we rent out two holiday homes set in the heart of nature. The houses, Le Moulin and Le Four—once a watermill and a barn—have been converted into comfortable, rustic accommodations for groups of up to 8 guests per house.
In our workshop in Eindhoven, all our products and components are entirely made in-house. Here, design, craftsmanship, and production come together, allowing us to ensure the quality and sustainability of every piece.
Every year during Dutch Design Week, Piet Hein Eek opens the doors to a wide range of exhibitors. Visitors can experience not only Piet’s own work but also that of dozens of other designers.
