Description

Fellow designer Simone van Es developed a new plant-based, biodegradable sheet material and asked Piet Hein Eek to design furniture with it. He came up with the Stackable Stool which is designed to fit together perfectly, making it very easy to store several stools neatly.

This stool made with Simone’s plant-based sheet material was on display at Kazerne for her exhibition ROOTS Exhibition from Dutch Soil.

For our own exhibition at the DDW, we made the stool from wooden sheet material, but with a special new plant-based glue made from beans!
