Jan van der Ploeg

In his art works Jan van der Ploeg (1959) consistantly explores the space between art and life. His mural paintings in interor as well as exterior spaces he applies a reduced but powerful colour palette. Monochromy, as well as repetition, variation and anti illusionist depth are different appearances he derived from the industrial imagery.

The primary themes of the art works by Jan van der Ploeg are colour, form and lines, which he varies by means of symmetrical positioning.
