We have worked night and day during the past weeks to complete the book. The aim was to give a good impression of things from the beginning until now. In the previous piece I described the importance of the idea to record everything chronologically, because this is the only way to give all the topics a logical and narrative place. The most important characteristic when describing a period is that everything happened and was created simultaneously and apparently at random, and that everything is interconnected. Only when you present all the relevant information in the right order, does it become a coherent story.
We didn’t realise that the process of making a book in this way would demand extensive knowledge and is extremely labour-intensive. The book had to be made just as the work was made and as the organisation has developed. Nob spent around eighteen months, almost continually, working on the book. Without him it would have ben impossible to work in this way, because we two are really the only ones who have experienced everything. It was only possible thanks to his knowledge and the fact that we have worked together for so long already.
We will present the book in our workshop on 23 September and the following week we will present it and sell it to the public at the Woonbeurs in Amsterdam.
