As odd as it might sound, we’ve been missing two large items for a couple of years now. You’re probably asking yourself, “How on earth does one lose a cabinet and go-kart?” Well, we’re not quite sure ourselves. For a long time we assumed they had been lent out and would simply resurface one day. But that has not happened – which is why we’re sending out this request.
We’re missing one of two go-karts that were made as prototypes and driven by our guests during the race of their lives at one of our parties (complete with a pit stop, spare parts and mechanics), as well as a door cabinet, one of the 28 cabinets exhibited in the Stedelijk Museum back in 1996. The bathroom window cabinet was, obviously, made of old bathroom windows, originally intended for burning. Back then, we used to throw anything flammable into the wood-burning stoves just to keep the place warm. Nowadays, they call that ‘green energy’.
So should you have any clues that might point us in the right direction, we would be extremely grateful, especially to put an end to this nagging uncertainty.
