Dutch Design Week at Piet Hein Eek
Once again this year, we are organizing a Designer Exhibition at Piet Hein Eek during Dutch Design Week (17–25 October). Are you a young, self-producing designer, and do your project and design philosophy align with our concept? Then we invite you to apply.
Spaces and rates
We rent out plots in our office, workshop, showroom, and on the platform. A variety of plot sizes are available at different rates. Renting multiple adjacent plots to create a larger surface area is possible upon request. Please note: all prices are listed excluding 21% VAT and a €100 deposit. Plots marked in red are already assigned.
Office
We rent out small plots in the office. The office is located at the main entrance and is fully visible through large windows. For Dutch Design Week, walls will be constructed to separate the exhibition area from the rest of the office. These walls are 3.66 m high.

Workshop
The workshop consists of two sections: in the left section we rent out small plots, while the right section can be rented as a whole for a large-scale project. The workshop is located at the main entrance, opposite the office, and is fully visible through large windows. For Dutch Design Week, walls will be constructed to separate the exhibition area from the rest of the workshop. These walls are 3.66 m high.

Showroom
The showroom is located on the first floor of the building and offers larger plots. This space also houses the Tweek-Eek atelier, as well as a bar where visitors can purchase snacks and drinks. At the rear of the showroom is a second entrance and exit, allowing for an easy flow of visitors.

Showroom display cases
At the start of the showroom – right next to our shop – we have 2 display cases available for small, luxury works which can be sold through our shop. To show your work in the display cases we do not require a downpayment, but we do ask for an approximately 50% commission, and that you’re present during opening hours.

Platform
The Platform is a separate indoor space, detached from the rest of the building. It features fully glass walls, providing plenty of natural light. As a result, there are no back walls available. The Platform includes both indoor and outdoor plots; outdoor plots are only available by arrangement. Please note: the Platform is still being built, so the image below is an impression of last year.

Application
To apply for the Designer Expo, please send an email to luna@pietheineek.nl including the following information combined into a single PDF file. The PDF must be complete, so that all submissions can be assessed directly and on an equal basis.
- On the first page: your name/initiative, the title of the work, and your preference for one or more of the plots we offer.
- A visual presentation of the work you wish to exhibit.
- A description of the work.
- An outline of how you intend to arrange the plot, including dimensions.
All submissions will be reviewed and a selection will be made based on this. After approval, you will receive an official confirmation along with additional information about your participation at Piet Hein Eek during Dutch Design Week 2026.
PLEASE NOTE: An application with Piet Hein Eek is not the same as an application with Dutch Design Week. In the meantime, make sure to register in time with the Dutch Design Week organization itself. If you do not do so by 16 June, you will not be included in Dutch Design Week’s communications and your project will not appear on their map and website. This will negatively affect the visibility of your project.
