A photo of a beautiful cabinet

We consider this beam cabinet to be just about the most beautiful thing we have ever made. Logical, as it is just finished. But what is so special is that a photo has been made to go with the piece.

 

I believe I have often written about it; we are makers, and as soon as something is finished, we move on to the next creation. Because creating is, of course, the best thing there is and until now we have never been without work, so complaining would be misplaced. But I often think about how incredible it is that we make the most beautiful things yet even people within the business do not know what we have made. We often forget to take a photo and even when we do take one, although we use a clear structure on the server and have clear instructions about its use, these photos always seem to find their way to a completely hidden place on the server. 

 

We have been trying to change this for many years, but every time we fall back into the wonderful daily grind of creating. To be honest, even though we do very little in the way of communication, we receive a great deal of media attention because of what we do do.

 

But we are going to change. We are going to take photos and show them. Don’t expect too much of these photos, the products will be photographed without clutter, straight on and well-lit so that you can see all the details. Proper styling will hopefully come later. Next week this cabinet will go to L’Eclaireur, one of our dealers in Paris. It will probably receive much more attention there, as our dealers often take far better photos than we do, and they also make sure that everyone sees them.
