Entrepreneurial Attitude – Storioni Festival

On Saturday I was at the gala night of the Storioni Festival and it was just as magical as previous years. The thing that greatly intrigues me is how it is possible for a trio (the Storioni Trio) to have, in one way or another, the energy, the quality and the vision to do so much more than just make music. When you see them playing among all the other stars and take stock of the joy radiating off everyone, this appears to be self-explanatory. But that is only really once it has succeeded, once the initiative has been taken and the path laid. Behind the scenes there have been calls, arrangements, ideas, failures and sleepless nights, and Wouter Vossen, spokesman for the trio, has fought off pneumonia.

I would like to describe this as entrepreneurship, even though it is not about money, but rather about the realization that it is something you need. The finest entrepreneurial attitude that exists: the desire to create, coupled with appreciation for the world and the desire to enrich and change this.
Once, in a raucous exchange with Wouter and Bart, we came up with the idea that an after-party would undoubtedly be fun. A little too ambitious but possibly something for the future, we thought later. However, the desire to do something out of the ordinary still burned. And so the idea for “Friday morning coffee with Storioni and guests” materialized; instead of an after-party when everyone would be exhausted, we would do something in the morning when everyone was full of energy and available to engage in conversation with the guests.

Friday 30 January 2015 – COFFEE CONCERT – Storioni Festival – Coffee with the Storioni’s, Olivier Triendl (and Arno Piter)

The biggest chamber musicians of the world attend and perform at the Storioni Festival, in Eindhoven nonetheless. They share one great passion: making chamber music. The Storioni Trio welcomes these musicians for coffee at the coffee concerts on Monday 26 and Wednesday 28 at 10:30 in the Stadsfoyer at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven and on Friday 30 January at 10:30 at our theatre hall.

The coffee concert is €7,50. Coffee included.

The concert starts at 10:30.
