Gerd Rohling sees what we do not see. The everyday object, even garbage, is changed into gold by his mind and in his hands. This spring and summer his oeuvre, dating form 1985 until present, is presented in the retrospective NOTHING FOR ALL in the Gallery of Piet Hein Eek. The exhibition will open on Sunday March 23 at 14:30. Everyone is welcome.

Gerd Rohling works with old, worthless materials, objects that are functional at best. He collects these objects during his searches through the city of Berlin or while combing the beach. He changes these finds and gives them a new meaning, and the old meaning is only visible when you watch very carefully. Rohling is a master in assigning auras to worthless material. He sees what an object cán be, with a little help from his side.
