We haven’t seen the end of it… Fake Eek
The enthusiasm of the men at the sheltered workshop in Tilburg, who helped us ensure enough seats for the Huttenfestival (hut festival) in Tilburg, has not ebbed. The desire and intention to collaborate has been expressed repeatedly. The basic idea behind the collaboration was that if they could produce and sell an Eek design, they could earn (more). In a previous newsletter, I described how we had already made Fake Eeks for a law and legal firm, and that this may not be the end of the project.
Well, we haven’t seen the end of it, because the table, benches, pulpit and even the bar are already available and the first orders received. Events sometimes take an interesting turn: Jan des Bouvrie was on hand for the lecture he was giving at our place and went to smoke a cigar. While outside, he came across the men from Amarant (sheltered workshop) on the platform, who were standing next to their tables and benches. If all goes well, we’ll deliver them to Het Arsenaal in white and these Fake Eeks for charity will be placed there and with Jan’s customers.
