De Hedera is in the ground and the residents moved into the green houses! This autumn the sedum roof will be planted and the solar panels are already in place. Despite the mainly black appearance of the houses at this moment, the process of making the houses green has really started now. In a few seasons we will have another photoshoot where the plants will be taking over the building.
The green houses are the two smaller brothers (or sisters?) of the RAG building, with their roof terraces facing the south and build in an industrial way. Living is situated on the first floor, adjacent to the roof terrace and underneath the steel structure, just like in the RAG building. The big, square, freely divisible room is very light because the windows follow the rhythm of the sun. The steel structure is visible everywhere and forms, together with the concrete floors and steel roof panels, the industrial fundament of the interior.
