Many of the final exams were clearly substandard, whereas, today, it seems as if almost every student has learned the right skills. Much of this forward progress has taken place during the past decade under the wings of Lidewei Edelkoort.

Lidewij’s request to work together with Petra Jansen (of Studio Boot) in putting together her final exhibition as Director of the academy was an honour, a challenge and a gratifying experience. The concept was simple: a combination of work and school!
