We finally managed to determine a date for the opening &#8211; 1 May &#8211; and select the work to be displayed, only to discover that the wooden men had been sold. Should we make our own then? But how many? Tom\u2019s response: 2 trams. Communicating with Tom Claassen is as interesting as his work. It\u2019s like something out of another world. The concept of offering a total experience starts with the showroom and the production processes but also includes a restaurant, an art gallery, rented studios, a chip shop, a hairdresser and from October 2020 there will also be a hotel. Eek has worked together with architect Iggie Dekkers since 2015, designing a range of houses and undertaking architectural redevelopments and other construction projects.
