DESCRIPTION:Celebrate King’s Day 2025 at Piet Hein Eek! On King’s Day\, you can visit Piet Hein Eek all day for the most fun activities. \n \nFlea market 9.00h – 17.00h\nWith King’s Day naturally belongs a flea market\, so also at Piet Hein Eek. At the flea market\, anyone may sell their second-hand stuff. \nPiet Hein Eek’s second-hand stuff will also be sold at the flea market. He has collected a lot over the years\, from antiques and handy things to collectibles. Wonderful junk for little money\, in other words. Be there in time to get your hands on special items from Piet’s personal collection! \nPlease note: these are not Piet Hein Eek brand items. \nSelling your own items\nEveryone is welcome at the flea market. Come in the morning from 8 am to pick a spot. If you want to be sure of getting a spot\, you can reserve a spot in advance. This is of course because for all places\, full = full! \nFor more information or to register for a spot\, email claudia@pietheineek.nl. \nOld Dutch games\nAnother typical Dutch tradition during King’s Day is playing old Dutch games. During the day\, various old Dutch games can be played\, such as spijkerpoepen\, zaklopen\, koekhappen\, spijker slaan and sjoelen. Fun for young and old\, and there are prizes to be won too! \nNo need to register in advance\, just join in and play! \nMusic\nYou can also enjoy music all day during King’s Day. Expect live music\, but also DJs who will make the whole day a big party. \nBlaaskaak – 12.00h\nThe first band to perform today is Blaaskaak! \nBlaaskaak is like a DJ on steroids\, but without the electronics. With only a drum\, a baritone sax and a trumpet\, they transform songs by Billie Eilish\, De Staat\, ABBA and Paul Elstak to irresistible power anthems that will move any crowd up\, down & round and round. \n \nDJ set – Kiki van Eijk\nDuring our flea market on King’s Day\, Kiki van Eijk\, one half of the creative duo Kiki and Joost\, makes her DJ debut! \nDJ set – Rick Vintage en Piet Hein Eek\nThe funky duo Rick Vintage and Piet Hein Eek will also spin some records. You will be dancing\, guaranteed! \nFood and drinks\nOf course\, you can enjoy delicious snacks and drinks at our Grand Café\, FRIET and the bar outside during King’s Day.
