We are almost certainly going to build! “Finally!” or “Already?!”, it depends how you look at it. Although our plans for the RAG-Building were already a reality for us, it was logical that the future residents found it quite difficult to picture the end result.
Many people think that this could even be impossible: how can you sell a property in a building that is seen by many as a ruin? This surely requires a good deal of imagination? Luckily, it turned out that there was nothing wrong with many peoples’ powers of imagination and as soon as the drawings were ready, we enjoyed a large number of interested parties, some of which are now going to sign the first purchase agreements so that the start of construction is now almost a fact.
And it doesn’t get any better than that, because we are not only going to build exactly what we had in mind, or even dreamed of, all along, but also realise the dreams of the future residents.
We expect to start construction of the ten houses in the old pumping station on 1 June. Half have already been allocated, so if you are interested in the project you will have to be quick, as there are only five still available. As well as redeveloping objects of industrial heritage, we will also be building two new houses.
