Just as with every other company, it is very important that people buy our products. To do so they must first get to know our products. I’ve been saying for years that our best advertisement is to talk about what we make. After all, we are a creative manufacturing company, which is really rather special in these times when labour is steadily being moved to low-wage countries or carried out by computer-controlled machines. That’s not the case with us. We make everything ourselves, using great machines, but still by hand.
The designs are completely focused on making a few pieces or small quantities as efficiently as possible because we simply don’t sell large quantities. We do not make large quantities of the same design, but lots of different designs, and this is actually very gratifying work.
I looked through our own news page recently and suddenly realised: how could we have been so stupid? No matter how far back I searched, I couldn’t find one single news item that was exclusively about a new product. At most, our participation in a fair was announced with a pdf highlighting several new products.
Now we’re going to do things differently. From now on, every product or project will have its own news item and if you are curious about what we’ve been doing and making recently, the news page will soon be the place to look, as you would expect. And if we carry on for long enough, news will become old and what we made a long time ago will also be found on the news page. To give you an idea we’ve cheated a little and retroactively added some news items.
